Norm's Kitchen

Norm's parents migrated to Canada in 1959 from Northern Italy. His mother Pia, better known by Norm and Natasha's children Georgia and Oliver as Nonna Pia, cooks from the heart with very traditional Italian food. Norm shared his mother's passion for cooking and followed this passion to become a Red Seal Chef. In 2007 Norm decided to sell his very popular balsamic reduction which he has been making for the past 15 years.

Now Nonna Pia's Balsamic Reduction has become a household item in Whistler and is rapidly growing throughout BC. As well as retail sales Norm and Natasha spend a lot of time selling their balsamic reduction at farmers markets where market goers indulge in samples of this delicious product with fresh artisan breads.

We start the process with 6 year old balsamic vinegar from Modena Italy. It's slow cooked for 6 hours while being infused with fresh fruits and herbs along the way. The whole family then works together to bottle, label and cork each bottle and the result is a velvety, smooth robust balsamic reduction.
